Some time ago I have gotten a ring flash Sigma EM 140 DG thinking about shooting my minerals without having to worry too much about lighting, but the results do not like me. The lighting is so flat that the relief of the stones disappears and as most of these are almost monochromatic, the result is quite poor, so after to shoot a few pictures I was convinced that it is better a good pair of light bulbs that a flash ring.
So if anyone here has a "decent working" macro for Canon, forgotten in a drawer, I like to make a exchange.
