Nematode (set 2 added)

Post by RogelioMoreno »

I found this nematode and I was curious how it would looks under different illumination.

All with Nikon TE300 microscope, Plan Apo 20x/0.75 objective, flash and Canon T3i mounted on the Nikon TE300's front port.

1. DIC: full extinction.
2. DIC: polarizer rotated to the left of full extinction
3. DIC: polarizer rotated to the right of full extinction.
4. Polarized
5. Darkfield

Rogelio,

Great comparison. You really have that TE300 "tuned up" nicely.. wonderful results and images you have been posting!

Amazing shots Rogelio. Did you hit him on the head to stun him? I can't imagine how you got so many shots in the same position. :)

Mitch,

No, I did not hit her on the head, before I put the coverslip (with vaseline) she was moving then was moving the head a little.

Thank you for your comments.
