Making a signature with background in Photoshop Elements

Hi elf,

A question occurred to me. I have now created the brush with the x-axis set to 2250 pixels, as you advised.

Just out of curiosity, however — how does one know that the maximum x value should be 2250 pixels? Why not 3000 pixels, or 5000?

My guess is that it is just a magic number, that is one the developer hard coded because it was convenient. I'm sure the actual size is documented in Adobe's literature somewhere.
