I'm interested in some of the macro techniques used here:

In particular, does anyone have good references for setting up a polarizing light rig? And any links or pointers about what individual chemicals or compounds or what chemicals produce interesting results when mixed would also be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Look up Rob Berdan, Charles Krebs and Justin Zoll. They got me inspired and offer good advice.
