What does the 'Pixels' retouch brush do in Zerene Stacker? I understand what the 'Details', 'Darken', and 'Lighten' retouch brushes do, but what does the 'Pixels' brush do?
Thanks.

"Pixels" is usually the simple one to explain. It does just what brushes do in Photoshop. It copies pixel values one at a time from source to target, using the formula target_new = f*source + (1-f)*target_old, where f varies from 1 to 0 depending on distance from brush center, according to the "hardness" of the brush.
"Darken" and "Lighten" are just like "Pixels", except that they only make the change if the new value will be darker or lighter than the old one, respectively.
"Details" is a complex beast that cannot be explained in a sentence or two. See http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... 5715#85715 and the surrounding thread for discussion and illustrations.
