Canon 600D link to laptop issues
Good afternoon
I have a canon 600D camera with a macro lens and I am trying to link to my laptop so I can live view when taking stationary shots of jewellery. I have a laptop that is running windows 10 and installed the software Canon digital EOS disk v 10.0 but cannot link it up I keep getting the pop up and it wont pair. I have been on the Canon website to download the software but doesnt help, any assistance would be most appreciated
Regards

From the digital disk that came with your camera, you have to download and install the EOS utility (this allows you to control your camera) and the DPP program. That should work.

Re: Canon 600D link to laptop issues
Or would it be possible for someone to tell me which Canon EOS software for Canon 600D camera cd software i need when running windows 10? Thanks

Have you tried EOS Utility? I use an older camera (7D) and it works fine with newer version of this software.
In principle you must be able to download the Utility form the Canon site without having the original disk just having the camera serial number (written in a sticker at its lower part). I have done it few times but not recently.

Re: Canon 600D link to laptop issues
I believe that's Canon EOS Utility 2.
Canon's website search on "600D" takes me to https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-rebel-t3i . (In the US, the 600D is known as T3i.)
From there click "Software & Drivers", scroll to the bottom of the list, then click "Load More".
For me it shows "EOS Utility 2.14.20a Updater for Windows", with a date of "10.14.15".
I'm currently running on a Windows 10 system, for which Canon's page reports "Windows 10 (x64) (detected)".

Look for the Canon Support web page in your country. Then, find the "software and drivers" page, type your camera model. You will be taken to the different programs and updates available for your camera. Choose the operating system of your computer, and from the list, download the Digital Photo Professional and the EOS Utility programs.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have had similar issues with my 7Ds. The cause wasn't drivers or software, but the usb cables used. Go for the best quality you can find. Since I use those of Tether tools the problems have vanished.
