Hello from Faro, Algarve, Portugal
My Name is Carlos and I'm retired from the Portuguese Air Force with more than 35 years as Radar Operator and P-3 Orion crew member.
As I have more free time now I'm starting on macro or I hope so...
My area has been bird photography and you can give a glance to my work here:

Many thanks in advance for your attention!

Welcome Carlos.
I had a look at your work on Flickr. You have captured many beautiful images. Very nice!
Bird photography seems a particularly relevant pastime for someone working in the Air Force too.
It will be interesting to see your macro skills develop over time. Please do post.
It may sometimes be more difficult to make images of macro subjects as nicely as you have done with the birds - but on the bright side, suitable subjects are arguably a lot easier to find!
Cheers

For now I am digging the forum, YouTube and general internet resources in order to achieve some basis to start to work on that.
At same time will get some equipment and start to build a setup. After that will start to share what I will try to do.
Hope to get some thing to share
Bird photography is less technical, but as you said we need to go toward where birds are or usually perch, and knowing a little bit of its behavior helps to get some shots.
Tks a lot.
