Oh I'd love a stereo scope like that. I only see through one eye but I could use the other eyepiece for phone photography. Can't afford one at the moment. Do they use rms screw thread for the objectives?

Hello. This particular Zoom has fixed objectives, not RMS. Amscope sell a version with a rotating nosepiece, but I have not seen one of those in the flesh. Generally people change the magnification on these things by changing eyepieces, or bay adding a fairly large diameter single screw-in lens (a Barlow) between objectives and samples.

Which amscope stereo has a nosepiece? I would love to see that, it's an uncommon feature in stereos even though it's mechanically simple.

I'm sorry, I can't find the Amscope Stereo I mentioned...obviously a fever dream I am progressing with refurbishing the SM1. Fitted LED lighting 'above and below' as you can see in these pics...full wiring and double dimmers to come.
