Nikon EL-Nikkor 50mm and 80mm for free

Post by RobertOToole »

_Nikon-dual-C.jpg
Nikon EL-Nikkor 50mm and 80mm dual camera setup for free, just pay shipping at my cost.

Bought this setup last year, paid some absurd price, almost free. Lenses look in fine shape, like new, no mechanical or optical issues.

What's the catch?

The lenses and lens tubes were mounted using thread locker. I cant loosen or remove them with all the set screws removed
and I don't want to use heat, force, or nail polish remover on the lenses.

Looking for a challenging project, this is for you!

I leave on Holiday tomorrow for 8 days but I can ship when I return.

Best,

Robert

That's generous offer! Intriguing, but for the Atlantic ocean.
Many thread-lockers will go gooey with a mild amount of heat, even just a hair dryer.

Have a good trip!

Hope someone takes it with me having to bribe them. Don't want to see it gather dust and I def. don't want to toss it into the dumpster.

Problem is I'm jammed up with at least 5 tests now just waiting for time to get outdoors for some field testing before I make the tests public, got some really high quality stuff on the way! I'm in New Mexico all this week for 7-8 days of bird photography and the Thanksgiving holiday. The life of a photographer, well someone has got to do it right?

Best

Looks like someone is interested, I'm going to weigh the items and give me a shipping cost next week when I return to the office.

Hello, thank you for your generous offer. I understand that inside the tube there are also some mirrors? I'm thinking about a possible application in my telescope...

Yes, the base has 3 mirrors, one 90 degree mirror for each and another at the end of the unit to change the beam 90 degrees.
One of the mirrors for the second lens must be half mirror.

so if no one is interested, I'd like to have it. I don't know if I can recycle it with my idea but I want to try. If I succeed it will help me in the use of my telescope
