Combine ZM

Post by DaveW »

I downloaded Combine ZM a few days ago from an old link I had saved and looking through the FAQ's it said it was for XP and there was a more up to date version that ran on Windows Vista. I downloaded this from the FAQ link, but then it said I had to take the original version off the computer before it could load.

I did this but nothing then happened and I could not find the download on the computer or that site again since the link was in the FAQ's in the version I had just removed. Also which version I should download for Vista (and hopefully Windows 7 soon?).

Can anybody give me a link to the site and tell me the Version I require for Vista? I am only interested in macro stacking, not movies etc and the simpler and easy to follow it is the better so the less "bells and whistles" I will never need the better. There seems so many different download versions on their site that I am not sure which to download?

Dave,

The latest version was published 0n 10 or 11 October 2009, I found it on the Yahoo site dedicated to Combine Z. It does run on Vista and has a number of changes over the previous version. I have not tried it yet and have just upgrade to Windows 7 as I was very tired of Vista.

Thanks Doug I found the new version for Vista (and XP). It is Combine ZP and it is on this site:-

Still got two desktop icons, "Combine ZP" and "CZP Batch". Can somebody explain why the two and which I use for stacking?

ZS will give you as good, or more likely, a better final image. I believe most stackers here use it.
It's a bit simpler to use, fewer steps:

add frames (files)
click STACK
choose by clicking ALIGN & STACK ALL (PMAX)
when finished, click File - SAVE OUTPUT IMAGE

That's all you will probably ever need, for advanced users there are several more options
