SONY AWARD
Hello everyone,
I have just learned that I am one of the finalists for the SONY AWARD 2023.

So, I have already shown the photos here, but I have rearranged them for SONY.
The photos have been taken with my self-made equipment.
For the transmitted light I have used the Köhler illumination from Biolam.

Re: SONY AWARD
Well done and deserved. I'd have (honestly) placed yours above the winner too. But I suspect that's just my bias toward tiny things vs. general photographer's bias in the opposite direction.
Re: SONY AWARD
Wim, many thanks!
Re: SONY AWARD
Hello Steve,
Thanks, that's very nice of you.
The challenge was to take the photos of the rather boring photo subjects,
almost only suitable for scientific documentation,
and to design them in such a way that they would also reach a wide audience.
Best,
ADi
