Scales at 60x with colors of the Ukrainian flag

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd post this photo of a butterfly's scales (not sure of ID unfortunately) with an eye to what is going on in Ukraine. I grew up in the Czech Republic and was there when the country was invaded by Russia, so the current events in our neighbor brought up some very unpleasant memories.....

Taken with a Canon R5, 3 flashes, 0.5mu steps x approx 200

Having been in Ukraine, such places as Kherson are not just names on a map.

Several generations of my family sojourned in Ukraine as did many others. The story is long and painful. My Grandfather did 10 yrs. in the GULAG and was seperated from his family for 20 yrs. I was already 5 yrs old when he made it to Canada. Many, many others were not as fortunate.
