Estimated age 90/100m years old.

Wow, that is cool! And yes, they look like roaches. Of course they are related insect orders.

So many insects look almost identical to modern species in amber (at least to thr untrained eye) that seeing one which practically looks like a photoshop morph (or maybe an Animorphs cover) between two familiar, related and very different insects is just really cool to me.

Strange idea, maybe, which is can you do focus stacking from amber?

Actually i can only make horizontal photos,
so I didn't used oils or other techniques.
I am buying an automated rail and a vertical stand, so I can make vertical photos. I will try the technique of putting the amber in glycerin, it should be better in many aspects: you should lose the impurity of the surface of the amber, and get a better overall quality.
