A solitary bee with Sony A5100 and Canon MP-E via an old chinese Canon to NEX adapter.
123 shots at f4 plus 6 extra at f5.6, Led lighting.
Full size
Unfortunately with this adapter I can not properly use the MP-E as the F number shown in the camera is the effective one and can not go past f16. At 3X I can not go above f4 (effective f16)
I own a metabones smart adapter mkIII (v. 20) but does not work with the A5100, I asked metabones if latest firmware for it (v. 40)would work with A5100

Re: Solitary bee 2X
It's a great job Javier, and I can see very interesting details in the full size image.

I had the same problem with my first chinese adapter and my old Sony NEX7.seta666 wrote: ↑Sat May 01, 2021 12:26 pmUnfortunately with this adapter I can not properly use the MP-E as the F number shown in the camera is the effective one and can not go past f16. After that I bought FOTODIOX adapter from china for approximately 150$, it was ~7 years ago, and it works ok with MP-E and Sony NEX7, showing the nominal apperture.
Re: Solitary bee 2X
Thanks, good to know. I may get one for the A5100
