Nice! A montage of two sections, I think?

Hi Rik,
Yes, exactly, the one in the middle comes from the side of the slide.

Hello everyone,
I have recently learned that some viewers of crossed-eyes 3d images
like to have a bar between the two images to help with the 3d view.
CROSS_BAR_PX100_Q87.jpg
Can anyone confirm that the bar makes it faster or easier to see a 3d image?
Thank you in advance!

It depends on the image content. In troublesome cases such as repeating patterns (imagine a brick wall!), the bar can help to establish correct matching.

However, in most cases I prefer to include a border all the way around the pair, with a line width that is the same as the width of the center bar.

The border and center bar together then provide a frame that is clear and consistent for both eyes.

With the mould pair shown here, the image content has enough unambiguous large scale structure that I expect the bar and/or border add little value for fusion.

However, the center bar does clearly show that the wide image is a stereo pair and not just a wide image with similar content on both sides, which probably adds some comfort.

Hello Rik,
Thanks for the info!
Since I can't cross my eyes, I don't know if it's better :-)
When I look at the images with my parallel glasses, the bar doesn't matter (to me).
But I can't rule out that it makes a difference to someone else.
