Robber Fly
Nuthin' special. Robber fly (possibly Machimus delusus female). I found an old LED light panel to use as a background and as the images progressed, the panel gradually faded. So...
Dorsal view, 1x, 8 steps at 650µm.
Head view, 5x, 34 steps at 60µm. Canon MPE 65mm and Canon 5D MK IV.
Tarsi, 7x, 101 steps at 30µm. Canon MPE 65mm plus 1.4 extender and Canon 5D MK IV.
Tarsi, 12x, 136 steps at 10µm. Zeiss 10x with Sigma 70~300mm (300mm) and Canon 30D.Re: Robber Fly
very nice, despite the fact that the panel has gradually faded.

Re: Robber Fly
If those are "nothing special" I can't wait to see the special stuff!
Re: Robber Fly
Me too, regarding the special stuff. I consider my macro average or just a smidgeon just above. But I am gradually getting better each decade.wwheeler48 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 11:35 amIf those are "nothing special" I can't wait to see the special stuff!
