No bugs but buds!

Post by Big Pete »

Stretching my Lomo 3.7 a bit for a test. The mini orchid is 9mm across and in the middle there is a wonderful "sculpture" in different color. I am waiting for a Lomo 8x that is in process of clearance at the Swedish customs as we speak. I know that the close-up is far from perfect but I am happy anyways!

Excellent!! Did you have any trouble with heat from the lights causing it to wilt? The lighting is also very nice.

Hi Pete, yes, I know, but I was wondering how you kept the flower from wilting under the light, or was that not a problem? How did you light it? I photograph a lot of Lepanthes (I study them) and they often begin curling up during a long stack.

Pete, that's pretty much the same thing I do, but my lights seem to heat the flower up too much. How did you light this? Thick diffusers and/or very indirect light?

Nicely done example of flower art! Thanks for mentioning size too, helps me to understand.
