Which lens setup was this done with, and what lighting?

Thank you sir.

I used a tamron 180mm macro. A shoot through umbrella with a 430ex on an ebay radio trigger was used on the right with a bit of paper on the left acting as a reflector (my second flash is broken). Such intricate lighting set-ups take a bit more time to set up, but the results are worth it, and it is usually practical for something relatively immobile like a beetle.

Beautiful Hopper noodle_snacks. It is amazing how many shapes, sizes, and colors these insects come in.
