Sleepy Orange Butterfly (Eurema nicippe) puddling on a wet crushed limestone road. EOS 5D MII & ef 180mm macro lens, handheld single shots. Distribution appears mostly in south central US, and south to Brazil.

A beautiful specimen. Nice shots! I have only seen two or three butterflies this year, unlike the great numbers of them that I used to see in the past.

Ha, so funny. Im starting to see more butterflies now that it's warming up a bit. Not as many as I usually see but it's still early. Thanks for the comments!
