Cactus and some rare rain in West Texas

Post by arlon »

Had a good rain last week and I grabbed a few shots of rain drops. A rare treat for out here. 90mm Vivitar F2.5 on a Nikon Pk-13 extension tube. SB-800 flash off camera hand held

Delightful lighting, textures, technique and subject!

It must be a most enjoyable and sometimes dazzling experience to see a relatively rare desert rain bring out a lot of flowers, etc.

I like that a lot.

Looks like a Barrel Cactus Ferocactus sp.
