Human error - so easy to screw up!

Post by bralex »

I change out my setup often, for different magnifications. I was getting unsat results from my latest batch of pictures, so I went back to first principles to figure out what was wrong - cleaning lenses, changing step lengths, etc. Finally I recalculated my extension tube length, and realized I'd left out 50 mm of extension tubes (1 segment). Feels good to know that the fix was easy, and dumb because, you know, it was kinda dumb.

By my standards, it's only "dumb" if I've made the same mistake at least 3 times before and still have to figure it out from scratch when I do it again...
