Variable Extension Tube ID Assistance Needed

Post by RobertOToole »

Anyone help with an ID?

This 3 inch variable tube came bolted to a Schneider E-shutter 0 but there is no label.

Searched google for variable tube for e shutter and focus helicoid for e-shutter but no luck.

Very well made with smooth travel.

Any ideas?

The scallops on the adjustment ring remind me of early tilt/shift adapters and lens made by Hartblei.

You might ask RAF Camera.

Thanks.

Sent an email off to Schneider but I don't expect much from their customer service.

Best,

Robert

Found two photos of the unit but so far this is more difficult that I thought it would be. This company calls it a precision focus helical.

Looks like it might not be a Schneider part?

Update with a response from Schneider.

Schneider customer service:

Not a Schneider product.

DT customer service:

Certainly could be (a DT unit)(with a smile)

So the part is a DT Cultural Heritage focus mount.

FYI, part seems very well made, no play and extends very smoothly.

Robert
