Someone got a helluva deal on this 105mm APO-EL-Nikkor:

I recently sold my last copy of this lens, an early version in the box. At one point I owned 3 copies, two later "A" versions like the one linked above, and one early version. My testing for coin photography (1:2 up to 1:1) showed the earlier version to be superior, but I was always too squeamish to use the lens given its rarity. It just sat on the shelf, waiting for me to do some test or shootout with it. I suspect the later versions are better optimized for 1:20 up to 1:2, which is why they did worse for coins.
