You take the headband and put it away on the shelf (unless you are using binocular surgical loupes)

Adapt the fiber optic to your light source and mount the headlight on an articulating arm and you have a very nice little studio spotlight which has a degree of focusability (though not zoom)

This model has a little field diaphragm built into it so you can adjust the beam size.
