Over the last several years I have been shooting alot with the Sony Nex system and legacy lenses. I have about 60 lenses, ranging from 1937 Zeiss 50/1.5 to 2004ish Leica 28 summicron. I have a kiron 105 and tokina 90 Macros.
Anyway this obsession around I would rather cut to the chase--end up with fewer odds and ends

I've been reading away for about a month now, and I thought I had bumbled my way to a "one scope. long term" solution---with some sort of inverted scope--possibly cabable of DIC. However, I'm now seeing limitations mentioned---troubles in imaging at higher mags etc. However there do seem to be some nice uses of inverted scopes for "pond water" etc, so I'd also consider 2 less expensive scopes adding up to the same range.
At the moment I'm looking at various block solutions for stack focusing--and perhaps any hints or suggestions might also include thoughts on this issue as well.
My goal is to get something that will keep me going for some time, so I can devote more time to looking and shooting, and less to upgrading.
Old/ new I have no preference. Maybe a good big 4 used upright DIC rig and and new Chinese inverted scope, or vice versa.
any and all thoughts appreciated,
forgive my ignorance--i'm working on it

Charlie
PS I had no clue microscopy was such a huge and varied field---35mm photography is like a grade 1 primer compared to the latest Reece Campbell
