Hi Guys
I want to know your views on this unit http://www.nissindigital.com/mf18.html
The canon twins and ring flash are out of question due to the cost.
Will a ring flash be a nice addition alongside the MPE?
Thanks
Anvancy

Hi anvancy,
what do you think of the Sigma EM-140 DG Ringflash. That is cheaper than the canon.
Many people are of the opinion that a pliers blitz better with MPE blends due to the illumination.
There also may be something, because the MPE has a large diameter to the front and a small lens.
There are also other systems which can replace Flash the pliers. They have however no ETTL, but you can manually regulate the flashes. The Makroflash kit pro See here:

You can build yourself something you, or attachment bolts with special Diffussern. The diffuser are you building your own, exampel of a white plastic cover.
I hope that helps.
Greetings
Michael

Hello avancy,
at the MPE, the illumination at scales is problematic in my opinion 4:1 with a ring Flash for.
In my Studio I could note this himself.
At other intervals, it will get better.
At the moment, I'm watching Nissin 622 (TTL) for my Studio with two.
One or 2 I then also for outdoor use.
I know a photographer who flashes in the Studio with a ring Flash, its results are good. Nissin is far cheaper, according to testergebnisse, the 622 is good.
I hope it helps.
