I see the rotatble polarizer at the bottom of the condenser. The filter that is inserted by the silver lever maybe is a lambda plate (to tint the background or maybe a quater wave plate). I think you only need a fixed analyzer like the one that Mitch has (Mitch says that he knows how is selling two units) and you are complete to test the Biophot with DIC.

I am waiting to hear from him. I don't want to give out his e-mail till he says it's OK. He will sell one of the two, they are both alike and he wants to keep one for his Biophot.

Great, thanks to everyone for all the help. I look forward to hopefully posting some DIC images in the near future and then moving on to getting some forum tips on photography as opposed to just equipment issues.
