
Parts:
- PZO simple polarizer and analyzer
- 2 Nikon DIC M condenser modules

They are placed in the simpliest way possible: first two elements are on the top of the light source, another are between the head and the scope body, luckily there was enough place for that.

that combination gives very light and quite nice DIC effect, but in my opinion the universal filter definitely outperforms this effect.
EDIT - I did dome more tests with this hybrid DIC.

I made some changes here - I placed the condenser prism in the filter holder - it is higher than before and the image quality is much better (but it is much more difficult to operate)

here I used Nikon de Senarmont polarizer - image is MUCH better. (I just placed the polarizer ont the light port)
