Dear Forum,
I have a pair of Nikon C-W10X/22 eyepieces that are in perfect condition, except the upper surface of the first lens of both eyepieces is seriously scratched (nothing to do with me!). It would be a shame to banish these eyepieces to a draw because of this fault. I wonder if it is possible to purchase only the first lens element as a replacement, which is easily extracted from each eyepiece? After some searching on the internet, I've drawn a blank. As ever, thanks for any help.
Best wishes,
Des
Can I purchase a single replacement lens for an eyepiece?

I think it is very unlikely that you will be able to find the correct lenses.
I believe if you sent them to a repair agency they would charge you for a repair and send you new oculars.
In 40 years of fixing microscopes I have only rarely seen individual glass elements, escaping from the factory unmounted. Too likely that even factory trained technicians might install them wrong.

Occasionally I run across individual lenses for sale. There are a couple surplus shops specializing in microscopes and such in Silicon Valley that have this sort of stuff. I bought a pack of 10 upper lenses for B&L 10x oculars a while back from one of them. Stuff like this is left over when microscope service companies go OOB and the surplus stores pick up the remaining stock. A lot of times it shows up on eBay but often it's just sitting in a box somewhere...Ray

If these eyepieces are items that are still currently being sold by Nikon it is always worthwhile to contact the appropriate Nikon Industrial Products parts department. (It may take a few telephone calls to track it down). Here in the USA, they have sold me parts directly, and have been extremely good to deal with. (With Olympus I need to order through a third party service facilityI wonder if it is possible to purchase only the first lens element as a replacement
