Possible specimen support?

Post by dmillard »

I just got one of these , because I needed to bring my order up to the $10 minimum when buying some fuses. It looks potentially useful, but I haven't yet quite decided how :? .

It might work as a base under the subject with simple darkfield illumination; put some black velvet under it and light it from the thick sides.

Would be very interesting for snowflake photography, but ironically Austin isn't known for its snowy winters...
