A 4 dollar lens story (possible JML substitute)

Some brief explanation...
Jacco's original post about the possible JML substitute -- a "23X" microfiche lens from Surplus Shed -- was published both here and on Flickr. He wanted to make some revisions to the post, and due to lack of replies here at photomacrography.net, it was more efficient to update only the Flickr post than both of them.

I was particularly interested in Jacco's review because I had purchased 2 of these lenses on speculation, and his efforts saved me some effort in evaluating them.
As editor of the forum, I have chosen to retain this thread so that the link can be found by searching, and so that any links to the original thread will remain intact.
