For people using reversed enlarger lenses (which typically have a Leica M39 screw mount), what do you do for hoods?
I haven't seen any ready made ones. I was wondering about finding some sort of M39-to-whatever adapter and then attaching some sort of tube to that, lined with protostar. Interested to hear what other folks are using for this.

M39 extension tubes make practical lens shades for reversed enlarger lenses. Since these lenses are not reversed at magnifications lower than 1x, there is no risk of vignetting. Protostar flocking can be added within the extension tubes.
An even simpler solution is to roll a strip of black paper/cardboard around the M39 thread and tape it close (or semi-rigid black plastic sheet for better durability). Cut to desired length, flocking optional.

Hm, Enrico that's actually what I've been trying to make for my little reversed Componon 28 but the purchase on the 25mm thread area is so minimal it's just not working for me. I don't suppose anyone knows of a thing that fits onto the 25mm thread onto which I can glue/add a conical shaped hood?
My extreme-macro.co.uk site, a learning site. Your comments and input there would be gratefully appreciated.
It's the front of a Schneider 28 which adjusts the iris, so you can wrap your tapered hood round the body of the lens if you want.
I don't remember a problem using the thread though.
At the front you might want an "empty" filter (35.5mm???) to save your reversing adapter gripping the wrong part making your lens come apart.
