This a relative of Arcella. When trying to ID this protozoan I could only find one photograph on the internet, that was on the Protist Server.
The first one seems to be inactive and the second one could have a little cytoplasm showing but not very clear. These two were brightfield. The 3rd one is Phase Contrast whilst the fourth one is my version of oblique brightfield.
