Oyster, probably Spondylus butleri, with 3D model (by JH)

Post by rjlittlefield »

The following image represents the October 2017 award for Macro.

It was originally posted at http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=35297 .

The award in this case really belongs to a larger body of work, of which this image is just one small part. We strongly encourage readers to explore not just this one photographic image, but also the 3D modeling process in which it was used.

Please discuss in the image's original thread, with cross-references as needed. Thanks!
