I have an old Vickers AA7602 10x / 0.25 +1 PH.1 microscope objective that I cant find any information for. Its a little dirty and I appreciate any advice on weather its worth cleaning up or if I'm better buying a 10X Plan Achromatic Lens from Am Scope.
I already know this objective, being Phase Contrast, looses contrast on micro photography, making me think a replacement could be best.
Id also like to find the tube length of this objective.

Re: Unknown Vickers objective
I think Vickers objectives require eyepiece corrections but I am not sure.

Re: Unknown Vickers objective
Yes, most Vickers objectives require compensating eyepieces for best performance, and are 160 tube length.
If it was for metallurgical use that would be different.
Can I ask where the AA7602 number comes from, as in most of my literature things have a number preceded by an 'M' ?

I've attached some photos of the objective.
It came with a lot of oil immersion objectives so id assume its not meant for metallurgy
