Sorry I missed the last few replies to this thread somehow, thanks for all comments/suggestions!
Currently I'm somewhat distracted on an entirely different activity. I should be back before too long.

I've done a couple of searches on eBay for high NA condensers, higheer than the Olympus NA 1.25 . I haven't seen any jump at me, other than a Zeiss Panchratic (NA 1.4 on one head).
