Diaptomus and Eucylops

Post by Charles Krebs »

Two Copepods (and a few diatoms). The Diaptomus (order: Calanoida) has the longer antenna, the Eucyclops (order: Cyclopoida) the shorter antenna.

These were in a sample taken from Lake Washington. The photograph was made using brightfield illumination.
