Post by Franz Neidl »

Yesterday I had this interesting animal in my sample. Unfortunately I did not misure it (I guess id had a diameter from ca. 400 µm).
Can somebody help me for the identification?

Exquisite photographs. The resolution of the cilia is simply astounding. I guess it's a planktonic larva of a crustacean or decapod?

Looks for all the world like it might grow up to be some kind of Rotifer one day, really great photos, fantastic details. :D
