Today I found in the marine plankton this object. I have no idea what could it be. It was 210 µm long.
Obj. 20x DIK, a Zerene-Stack with 11 pictures.

Hi Franz,

Possibly, it is a statoblast of bryozoan. The freshwater ones I have seen before looked very similar, but they had little hooks on them. Excellent picture! I quietly enjoy all images you are posting here.

hi Franz,

I think that Piotr is right...but like him I have only seen them in freshwater. In seawater I have only found the cyphonaut larvae of bryozoa.

You really are finding some gems in your samples.
