I had purchased a packet of those short "velcro" straps you use to bundle electrical cables and such together. I hooked a red one and a blue one together and "wedged" them apart. The plastics "hooks" were different from other samples of this material I have seen magnified. I'm still playing around with the vertical illuminator and here's the result.
