Hi folks

I observed a Paramecium too the other day. I tried to get a closer look with the oil immersion.

First at 400x

Paramecium feeding on Chlamydomonas in this sample:

Nice photos Bernhard - I think it is interesting to compare your brightfield images with my DIC images: it illustrates how different methods of observation can show different aspects of the same organism: now we need some phase images, some darkground images, Rheinberg....

Excellent photos, Bernhard.

I need to foul up some pond water to get a batch of Paramecium to try out my 100X oil objective. It's been in its storage can since I took it off the scope after a quick try when they arrived over a year ago.
