Plant Stem

Post by bernhardinho »

Hi folks

I have been doing a bit of thin sectioning again. This is part of the stem of Hosta fortunei. I have no idea what the english name is

But enjoy anyway

Hostas seem not to have English names. Even the collective name plantain lily is rarely used.

Everyone I know just calls them "Hostas". It is short, easy to pronounce and spell, so makes a good common name too.

The sections are beautiful!
