Cypris larva

Post by Wim van Egmond »

Barnacles have larvae that resemble the larvae of copepods but after some time they undergo a metamorphosis and turn into this Cypris stage named after the Ostracod Cypris. Then they try to find a suitable surface to start their life as a sessile organism.
