Fluorescent pollen specimens

Post by CLOVER »

The size of these pollen grains is around 100um, with the largest ones being approximately 150um. They include morning glory, hollyhock, lily, etc. Fluorescent dyes were used for staining, and various staining techniques were employed. The specimens are permanent fluorescent mounts. :D

Hello, I did make it into a specimen. First, Calcofluor White and Acridine Orange were used to facilitate staining. Then, for differential staining, Rhodamine B and Ethidium Bromide with a concentration of 5% were used. Finally, it can be done by centrifuging, mixing and mounting the slide.
