Spinal cord

Post by Olympusman »

Commercial slide. Appears to be a silver stain, which from other silver stained slides I've accumulated seems to make the subjects very grainy. One trick I have picked up with these gross sections is to do the baseline stack using my macro stacking setup. Even with a 4X objective, the gross section would take twelve to sixteen stack series stitched together to capture the whole section. So with the corn kernel I recently shot and the spinal cord section, it only required one stack series.

Don't know much of anything about spinal cords, though I have listened to "Spinal Tap" a couple of times. Of course that was years back. Today its the symphony, some musicals, and Italian opera. Some interesting photos all the same. Nice . . . :)
