Indian Cupid Butterfly Egg

Post by jin »

Hi All, sharing an Indian Cupid (Everes lacturnus rileyi) butterfly egg laying on a small flower, taken under the Olympus BH stage with a Nikon 10x/0.25 objective, hope you like it.

By-the-way, what is the small object on the lower right side of this pic with each 'leg' having a green and purple dot :-k

That is beautiful! As for the object in the lower right, it strikes me as being a very small, as if the adults aren't already, globular springtail. But actually, I have no idea as to what it might be other than possibly a very small invertebrate of some kind. :-k
