This inspired me to rewatch the popular Matt Damon movie "The Insider."

Nice crystals - lysine did not produce crystals for me - what solvent did you use.

The solvent was just water. This was OTC L-Lysine. I dissolved it in hot tap water, filtered it through na coffee filter and then centrifuged it to reduce any suspended particles before pipetting it onto slides.
Correction - the Matt Damon movie was "The Informant!" about the AMD price-fixing conspiracy for Lysine.
