Methyl-Sulphonyl Methane crystals are readily available as a food supplement and are water soluble. When dissolved in warm water and spread on to a slide it recrystallises very quickly forming mostly large and long rod-like crystals. For the first photo I caught them before they grew and in the second photo I added Vitamin C, which crystallized more slowly and deposited on to the rod-like crystals of the Methyl-Sulphonyl Methane.

Last one! From a melt of Methyl-Sulphonyl Methane (the crystals melt at just above 100 C).
