Hi guys
New to the forum. Been trying out some different forms of illumination with my Leitz Laborlux S microscope. I've become interested in growing crystals from different chemicals.
Oxalic acid with some Rochelle salt mixture
Psuedo-DIC attempt - an idea from another forum.
Cheers

Re: Illumination comparison!
Interesting images.
Can you tell us more about "Pseudo-DIC" ? My naive guess would be that it's some form of oblique, but more details or a link would be helpful.

Re: Illumination comparison!
Hi Rik
I can't lay claim to this one :-)
It's from a guy called Martin over on the Amateur Microscope Facebook page here
https://www.facebook.com/groups/Amateur ... 352613307/
Its using clear tape on a cover slip ontop of the condensor putting the scope into Darkfield mode and tweaking the condensor height and diaphragm. Martin seems to have cracked it. Probably oblique like you say but possibly some interference!
