Here is a selection of aquatic life from the past few weeks. All pictures were taken with an Olympus BH2.
For some pictures I used two Ikea Jansjö as an additional incident light
Eurycercus (SPlanApo 10)
Plea minutissima nymph (SPlanApo 4, polarized light)
Ostracod ventral (SPlanApo 10, polarized light)
Chaoborus larva (SPlanApo 4, polarized light, Ikea Jansjö)
Mosquito larva head ventral (SPlanApo 10, Ikea Jansjö)
Daphnia (SPlanApo 10, polarized light)
Scapholeberis (SPlanApo 10)

Beautiful photomicrographs
Nice work - it is amazing how images from a simple pond can be so inspiring.
A pond has a richer source of organisms than any place I have visited including the rainforest.
Nice work
